ShekelTech
About
ShekelTech is written by Daniel Skiba, an economist working in Israeli municipal finance. The aim: explain what the official numbers say, without inflated headlines.
How the analysis is written
- An official figure is released. The Central Bureau of Statistics, the Bank of Israel, the Ministry of Finance or other authoritative research. Each piece says what prompted it.
- Research and draft. AI tools gather the data, compare it with earlier periods and prepare a draft.
- Review and approval. I read every draft, check the numbers against the source and approve it. Nothing goes on the site without that approval.
- Corrections. If an error is found or a figure is revised, the piece is updated and the update date is shown at the top.
Rules
- Every factual claim links to an entry in the source list.
- The bottom line comes first, not last.
- Forecasts are labelled as forecasts, with the assumptions behind them.
